So It Goes

The starting point for this work came from the recent bereavement of my parents. The paintings are based on a series of drawings that I made of my parents over the years and from a number of snap shots taken by members of staff at various nursing homes which they occupied during the last years of their lives. The work was an attempt to come to terms with personal loss and to negotiate personal history.
